Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the abrogation of Article 370, singer-turned-politician and Member of Parliament from North-West Delhi Hans Raj Hans has said that the Prime Minister has turned impossible into possible and that is why they say, 'Isiliye kehte hai agar Modi hai to mumkin hai.'

Addressing students at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Hans Raj Hans was speaking on Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in wake of Article 370.

Hailing Centre's move to abrogate Article 370, Hans Raj said, "we are happy that Kashmir will now really turn into a paradise. Everyone has hailed this move."

"Dua karo sab aman se rahein, bomb na chale... hamare buzurgon ne galatiyan ki hain hum bhugat rahe hain... Main kehta hoon iska naam MNU kar do, Modi ji ke naam pe bhi to kuch hona chahiye..." (My wish is only that people should live in peace, I hope no bombs are fired... our elders have made mistakes, we are paying for that... I would say one thing, however, it may sound weird that this institute's name should be changed from JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) to MNU as there should be something on the name of Modiji also)

Further speaking on the issue, Hans Raj Hans said, "whether a soldier is killed on our side of the border or their side, ultimately a mother's son is killed... after that in future whether you give Param Vir Chakra or any other award... a mother's son is not going to return."

Earlier, Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy on Saturday had also said that people are happy with the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and are coming forward to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

People are really happy after the abrogation of Article 370. They are coming forward to support the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi."

Earlier on Saturday, Reddy said that Pakistan wants Jammu and Kashmir to be vulnerable, but we are taking all precautionary measures.

"The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is normal and it is improving day-by-day as we have taken all the precautionary measures in the region. We get provocative statements from Pakistan and they want the situation in the state to be vulnerable. We are taking all the precautionary measures and Jammu and Kashmir is under our surveillance," Reddy said.
