Woody Allen back on screen after eight years in 'Fading Gigolo'

Actor-director Woody Allen will be seen on the big screen in a full-fledged role after eight years.

Allen, who is otherwise known to make cameo appearances in his own films, will be seen in Fading Gigolo with Hollywood's two most appealing actresses Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara.

In the movie, he plays the role of Murray who encourages his friend Fioravante, played by John Turturro, to become a male escort in the pursuit of making money, said a statement.

Allen has rarely acted in a movie which is not directed by him in the past two decades. Making Fading Gigolo is a truly anticipated release.

It is a dramedy film directed by Turturro.
