Salman Khan launches India's first ever crypto token $Gari, NFT marketplace

Bollywood actor Salman Khan launched India's first-ever crypto social token, Gair Coin by Chingari on Saturday. The crypto social token will also have Salman Khan as its brand ambassador. 

At the launch event, apart from Salman Khan, other actors, including Vaani Kapoor, Sonali Seygall, Kubra Sait, and other celebrities, including Nucleya and Maniesh Paul were also present. 

"The Creators are shaping the future of entertainment. With the incorporation of the $GARI reward programme, the creators will further get motivated to create newer and more engaging videos on the Chingari app. It's going to be an interesting journey hereon," 

The launch event came after the 'Sultan' actor had a few days ago announced that he will also launch his NFTs (nonfungible tokens). In a tweet, he said, "I am officially launching Chingari’s in app GARI Tokens reward programme & its NFT Marketplace. You can buy my Video NFTs, exclusively on the GARI NFT Marketplace. Cheers to a new chapter in Content Creation & Monetisation!!! #ChingariKiGari #GariTokens"

The Bollywood actor was accompanied to the launch event by his bodyguard Shera, who also accompanied him to the stage. Salman Khan was seen sporting a red and black printed suit, as he also wore a mask, following the COVID-related safety protocols. 

The actor was also spotted dancing with some kids. 

On the work front, Salman Khan will be seen alongside Ayush Sharman in Antim: The Final Truth, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. His other projects in the pipeline include Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick 2 with Jacqueline Fernandez and Farhad Samji’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali with Pooja Hegde.
