The Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony took place in Ayodhya earlier today (January 22). The grand event saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi perform the ceremony that marks the next step in the construction of the grand Ram Temple at the Ram Jamahoomi site. Many people, ranging from businessmen to film stars from across India, have donated for the construction of the temple. From the film world, one name stands out, the biggest donor from among cine celebrities.

The superstar who has donated Rs 30 lakh for Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir

While the likes of Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, and Hema Malini have all donated generously, one south superstar has outdone them with a large Rs 30-lakh donation for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. That is Pawan Kalyan. As per reports, the star donated this sum late last month ahead of the Pran Prathishtha ceremony. Several other stars’ donations, including those of Akshay, Hema, and Manoj Joshi, are undisclosed.

What other Bollywood celebs have donated for Ram Mandir

Anupam Kher has famously donated bricks that are being used in the temple’s construction. Several other stars have also made sizable donations. Actress Pranitha Subhash, best known for her work in south films, pledged a donation of Rs 1 lakh for the temple earlier this month. Similarly, Mukesh Khanna, who played Bheeshma in Mahabharat, also gave a check of Rs 1,11,111 to his local MLA as part of fundraising for the temple in December.

The consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on Monday morning was a star-studded affair. Apart from political bigwigs and religious leaders and seers, several film and sports stars were also present at the venue. These included A-listers like Amitabh Bachchan, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vipul Shah, Madhuri Dixit, Rishab Shetty, Kangana Ranaut, and several others.
