Two months after the generation leap, the lead actor of ‘Mamta’ is still experimenting with his hairstyle
The storyline of ‘Mamta’ took a leap almost two months ago but strangely, its lead actor Anand Suryavanshi (Akshay) has still not zeroed in on a hairstyle suiting his mature character.
Apparently, the actor has been acting fussy and not co-operating with the production team with regards to this. Apparently, after a series of experiments, the actor has now been given a ‘gelled hair look’.
Unfortunately, that too shall remain for a short while; as a new hairstyle for the older Anand is still being considered!
A member of the production team shares, “There have been quite a few differences with Anand regarding his hairstyle. We had thought of several options; from the ‘Sexy Sam’ of ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehnaa’ to the spiked hair look ala George Clooney. But
Anand didn’t seem to agree to any of these. As a result we are still experimenting.”
Anand on his part gets defensive when asked about the issue. He says, “How will a 50-year old man with a young daughter look with spiked hair? I don’t think this style would suit a character, whose wife has left the house and who is supposed to be sad about the incidents in his life.”
He adds, “I should get a hairstyle that will suit a serious character. So I voiced my opinions. I feel a simple salt and pepper look will work just fine. But I wonder what’s on the creative team’s mind.”
He ends, “We had been told that we need not grey our hair if we didn’t wish to. But the suggestions they came up with strangely included grey hair!”
