Anuj Jain is the managing director of Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited. He joined Nerolac in 1990 as a management trainee. Now, Jain has been in the top position of the company since April 2022. The company is based in Mumbai and is a subsidiary of Kansai Paint of Japan.
Jain has been working with the company for almost 33 years now. Nerolac has a market capitalisation of Rs 26,103 crore as of August 25, 2023. The share price of the company was Rs 322.90 on Friday.
In his tenure spanning over 30 years at Kansai Nerolac Paints, Jain has worked in various capacities, including vice president, decorative marketing and sales and director, decorative. He is an alumnus of Mumbai University where he did a management course from 1988 to 1990.
Before taking over as MD of Nerolac, he was serving as executive director in charge of the sales and marketing, manufacturing, technical and human resources functions since 2018. Now, he is responsible for steering the company's growth and bolstering the brand's presence in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. He played a pivotal role in driving growth organically and inorganically along with business excellence.

Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited is among the three largest paint and coatings producers in India. The company completed 100 years of operations in 2020 in the country. In 1920, it started as Gahagan Paints and Varnish Co. Ltd. at Lower Parel in Mumbai.
In 1999, Kansai Paint Co. Ltd., Japan took over the company. Thus, Goodlass Nerolac Paints became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kansai Paint Company Ltd. In 2006, Goodlass Paint Ltd. name was changed to Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd.
