"I would be told all the time I'm not tall enough, my hips are too big, my thighs too thick, basically whatever they didn't like.," Gabriella said.
Model and actor Arjun Rampal's partner Gabriella Demetriades recently opened up about facing body-shaming during her initial days as a model. Recalling her modelling days, Gabriella Demetriades said that the fashion industry wasn't as diverse in those days as it is today.
During an Instagram 'Ask Me Anything' session on Thursday, when a fan asked Gabriella Demetriades, "Have you ever struggled with your body confidence/ image? any advice?" She replied honestly and wrote, "Yes, sadly the fashion industry wasn't as diverse as it is today. I would be told all the time I'm not tall enough, my hips are too big, my thighs too thick, basically whatever they didn't like. It took me a long time to not place my worth on those things."
When another fan asked her, "Your skin is so perfect, looking so healthy what's your secret?" While giving a closer and better glimpse of her face, Gabriella wrote, "I still have some pigmentation from pregnancy but I feel no alcohol, lots of sleep and exercise and a good routine (washing your face, sunscreen, moisturiser when needed and lots of Vitamin C) has really helped me."
She also shared her favourite photos with Arjun Kapoor when a fan asked her for them.
When a fan asked her the funniest thing her son Arik has ever done, she shared a clip of the little one holding a wiper in his hand and cleaning the floor. She wrote, "He is constantly entertaining me."
While answering a fan who asked about how did she lose the pregnancy weight referring to an article that stated she lost the post-pregnancy weight in 12 days after delivery, Gabriella replied saying it wasn't true. She mentioned it took her 2 years to get her to her original weight, a lot of patience and hard work, also being okay and enjoying the process.
Arjun and Gabriella had welcomed son Arik in July 2019. Arjun had announced Gabriella's pregnancy in April that year.
