Video - Power of Simmba: Ranveer Singh urges you to fight crime against women this Independence Day

As India celebrates its 72nd Independence Day today, Ranveer Singh decided to treat his fans into the world of his upcoming Rohit Shetty directorial titled Simmba. The actor will be seen playing the protaginist - Sangram Bhalerao - a tough cop from Goa, in the film. What's special about the sneak peek video titled the Power of Simmba is that it has a special message for the masses on the occasion of India's Independence Day. 

Even after 71 years of India's Independence, women's safety in the coutry remains one of the major issues of concerns. This Independence Day, the Power of Simmba video urges the citizens of the country to take a pledge to fight crime against women. 

The video begins by stating, "If you don't fight crime against women, the next victim could be from your family." The video then offers glimpses into how Sangram Bhalerao (Ranveer) attempts to tackle the miscreants who commit crime against women, and punishes them in his way. 

Ranveer took to his Twitter account to share the video and wrote, "A sneak peek into the #POWEROFSIMMBA... Releasing 28th December !!!

The movie also stars Sara Ali Khan, and is directed by Rohit Shetty. Simmba is a remake of South hit Temper, which orginally starred Jr NTR and Kahal Agarwal. It is slated to hit the theatres on December 28.
