A day before Amtiabh and Abhishek Bachchan were tested positive for coronavirus, Rekha's security guard had also tested positive for the deadly virus. Meanwhile, reports stated that the evergreen actor refused to get tested. Now, Mumbai Mayor Mayuri Pednekar has emphasized that Rekha should at least go for a swab test.

"Whether there are any symptoms or not, it is important to undergo a swab test for her as age is an important factor in this and she can't escape it. Rekha must undergo the test for her fans and well-wishers," said the Mumbai Mayor.

Apart from her security guard, Rekha's two househleps were also found coronavirus positive. The actor, however, maintained that she has not come in contact with anyone and thus, doesn't need to undergo a test for the virus.

Rekha's bungalow, called 'Sea Springs', situation on bandstand in Bandra, was sealed after the security guard tested positive. The BMC declared her area containment zone.

Like Rekha, Aamir Khan, who also lives in Bandra, also found out that a few members from his domestic staff, including two of his bodyguards and cook, were tested positive for COVID-19. The actor had gotten himself and his family tested soon after.
