Looks like congratulatory messages won’t stop knocking at Ayushmann Khurrana’s door this year. With films like Badhaai Ho and AndhaDhun, 2018 belonged to the actor. He received accolades for his performances in both the films by the critics and the audiences alike. While AndhaDhun performed well at the box office, it was Badhaai Ho which got away with the tag of a blockbuster. Also, the latter became Ayushman’s first movie to cross the Rs 100 crore mark.

The film which was released in October is reportedly running in its 6th week at the theatres and it collected over Rs 3.95 crore. With this, the total collection of the movie has reached Rs 132.35 crore so far.  Surprisingly, it has taken over Baahubali 2’s sixth week collection which was about Rs 2.90 crore. So, this has given the actor another reason to celebrate as beating a film like Baahubali 2 even in some smaller aspect, which saw a resounding success world over, is no tiny feat.

Badhaai Ho directed by Amit Sharma also starred Sanya Malhotra, Neena  Gupta and Gajraj Rao in the leading roles.

On the personal front too, the actor has a lot more reasons to be amile. After being diagnosed with early signs of breast cancer in September and undergoing treatment for the same, his wife Tahira Kashyap finally resumed work and has announced it though an Instagram selfie. The proud hubby had reposted the same on his social media page.
