As per the new report, the mismanagement of producer Firoz Nadiadwala during Welcome Back has led to heavy financial losses, and thus Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar have rejected Welcome 3.
Akshay Kumar-starrer Welcome has a loyal fanbase, and Uday Shetty (Nana Patekar), and Majnu aka Sagar Panday (Anil Kapoor) are fans' favourites. A few days back, an update related to Welcome 3 shocked the audience, as it was reported that Nana and Anil have been replaced with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi respectively.
Earlier it was reported, that Anil was replaced after he demanded a whopping Rs 18 crores for the movie. Now, as per the new media report, Anil and Nana have backed out from Welcome 3 due to unprofessional behaviour by producer Firoz Nadiadwala during the making of Welcome Back (2015). As ETimes reported, "Apparently, the production was mismanaged, payments were delayed, and even TDS was not paid leading to financial losses for not just Kapoor but other actors and technicians as well. It is said that there was a huge showdown with Nana Patekar also because of Firoz's unprofessional behaviour."
The third part Welcome 3, officially titled Welcome To The Jungle, is set to release on Christmas 2024. Akshay Kumar will return to the franchise but the characters of Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai will be played by Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi as Anil and Nana have refused to come on board for the threequel. While Welcome and Welcome Back were directed by Anees Bazmee, Welcome 3 is reportedly going to be helmed by Ahmed Khan who previously collaborated with the producer Firoz Nadiadwala for Fool & Final in 2007.
Apart from Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Sanjay Dutt, and Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty will also join the cast. He will reprise his role of Yeda Anna from Awara Paagal Deewana.
