In a new developement in the Ramjanmbhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case, the Hindu Mahasabha as well as Muslim parties submitted their alternative demands to the Supreme Court on 'moulding of relief'
The term 'moulding of relief' means seeking to consider a new claim in the court judgement if the previous ones are not considered.
The decision to file written submission was granted on Wednesday by the five-judge Constitution bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi.
Both the contesting parties submitted their demands in a sealed envelope.
The bench asked the parties to narrow down the issues on which the court is required to adjudicate in three days.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday reserved its verdict in the Ayodhya case after hearing arguements from the concerned parties.
