This means that Buckingham Palace is costlier than Mukesh Ambani’s residence Antilia, which is estimated to be worth Rs 15,000 crore.

According to a report by Fortune magazine, the queen has left behind property worth more than USD 39.8 billion. She earned this huge wealth from her investments, art collection and real estate holdings, much of which was bequeathed to Prince Charles after his death. Elizabeth II remained the Queen of Britain for 70 years. She was not only the oldest queen in British history, but she was also counted among the richest women in the world.

Queen Elizabeth II took over the reins of the British Empire, one of the largest empires in the world, only at the age of 25. Elizabeth II's father King George VI died on 6 February 1952 due to illness. At that time the Queen and the Prince were on a tour of Kenya.
