When Anil Kapoor apologised to Sonam Kapoor for not attending her parent-teacher meets in childhood

Sonam Kapoor and the entire cast of her upcoming film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, including her father Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Rajkummar Rao are neck deep in promotions these days. The actors are leaving no stones unturned to promote the film which will witness the real life father-daughter jodi of Anil and Sonam, sharing screen space for the first time. 

The entire cast of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga visited the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show and shot for a fun episode, which goes on air on Sunday. During the course of their interaction, Anil got a bit emotional when Sonam happened to reveal that he always missed out on attending her and her siblings' parent-teacher meets in school, because he was always engrossed in is work. 

Sonam also shared that Anil not only missed their parent-teacher meetings, but also come late for their birthday parties, dressed in the attire of the movie that he would be shooting for on that day as he would directly come from the sets of his films. 

On hearing this, Anil took the opportunity to apologise to Sonam on National Television, for not being able to spend much time and be a part of her childhood in a more inclusive manner. Sonam also gave hints during the show that though, her father may seem to be the macho man, but it's  her mother Sunita Kapoor who calls the shots in their house. 

The film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga has been directed by Shelly Chopra and is slated to hit the theatres on February 1, 2019.
