Sukhwinder Singh responds to Bigg Boss' claims of him being Jasleen Matharu's secret ex

'Bigg Boss 12' contestant Jasleen Matharu's relationship with Anup Jalota has been the talk of the town ever since they entered the show as a jodi. While some criticised the age gap, a few others liked their matured chemistry. 

Recently during a captaincy task, Jasleen's alleged secret of dating a popular singer behind Jalota's back created a pandemonium both inside and out of the house. "I was in a relationship for a year with a famous celebrity. And my partner doesn't know about it," the clue read. Later, while confronting Jasleen on the matter, Anup said that he already knew about it as it's a small industry. He also took her boyfriend's name 'Sukhi'.

Minutes later, social media started speculating that Jasleen was in a relationship with popular singer Sukhwinder Singh.

However, when told about the incident, this is what the 'Chhaiya Chhaiya' singer told Bombay Times: 

"We have been good friends for the last six years. Jasleen calls me Bablu. She accompanies me for my shows and her family is also close to me. In fact, her mom, dad and friends came over to my house a day before she left for Bigg Boss. She cut a cake and we had a great time. We often catch up for movies and outings along with her friends, but we have never dated each other. I’m surprised that this was claimed on the show. I’ll call up her father and check what this is all about."
