'Heartbreaking to see hardship, suffering pandemic has unleashed': Katrina pledges to donate for COVID-19 relief fund

Katrina Kaif has become the latest celebrity who pledged to donate to PM CARES fund and Chief Minister's relief fund to combat coronavirus in the country. Many celebs have been taking to their social media pages to announce about their pledge to donate, while many disclosed the amount they will be donating, there were a few who chose not to. Katrina is amongst those celebs who did not reveal the amount she has pledged to donate.

The actor wrote on her Instagram post, "I pledge to donate to the PM CARES fund and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund Maharashtra. Heartbreaking to see the hardship and suffering this pandemic has unleashed in the world."

About a week back, Katrina had also shared a video on her Instagram page and urged fans to stay safe and stay indoors as asked by the government. She captioned the video stating, "Be safe and take care of one another. Together let's help to stop the spread of this virus. Stay safe everyone @cmomaharashtra_ @My_bmc @adityathackeray".

Meanwhile, on the work front, Katrina's latest film Sooryavanshi was all set to hit the screens on March 24, 2020, worldwide. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak and the safety of people, the film release has been postponed indefinitely. The trailer and the promotions were kickstarted and now the new release date will be declared after everything gets back to normal.

Talking about Sooryavanshi, the film stars Akshay Kumar in the titular role and is directed by Rohit Shetty.
