Beyonce set to rule as Queen Tara in new animated film 'Epic'

Singer and actress Beyonce Knowles is the queen of her husband Jay-Z's life as we all know. The singer's husband who is a rapper has many times mentioned her in his songs.

Also to many of her fans the Halo singer is known as Queen Bey. In an upcoming animated film named Epic, Beyonce who has acted in the first Pink Panther movie, Dream Girls and Austin Powers in Goldmember is set to lend her voice to a charater named Queen Tara.

In a poster of the film that was released recently, her character is seen with her hair tied up in an high ponytail, which twists at the front, revealing the high neck of her lime green gown.

The colours remind one of her look at the BET Awards in July 2012 where she wore a dress of the same colour.

This film stars Amanda Seyfried, Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson and Christoph Waltz.

From the makers of Ice Age and Rio this new film tells the story of an ongoing battle between the forces of good, who keep the natural world alive, and the forces of evil, who wish to destroy it.

According to the movie's  website, Beyonce’s character is beautiful, agile and strong, ‘the life force of the forest, which she presides over with respect, compassion and humour’.

When Queen Tara finds herself in danger, her unique connection with nature gives her powerful allies. And when all hope seems lost, she summons help from the most surprising of places.

Epic is set to release later this year.
