Sameer Wankhede claimed he doesn't know Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and singer Mika.
Sameer Wankhede, former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Chief, recently appeared at Khupte Tithe Gupte where he spoke about controversies related to Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan's drug case and more.
On being asked about why he is only behind celebrities and takes action against them, Sameer said, “I want to make it clear to everyone that for me, celebs are Baba Amte, Sindhutai Sapkal, and other personalities. When I would work at the airports, I would file 3500 cases in total; among them, 100–150 were celebs and others were peddlers and hardcore criminals. People only see the celebs, but I always made the cases for others as well. I am a man of the law. My target is Rashtra Seva. I want to serve the nation, and the nation is first for me.” He added, “I am a man of law.”
When the host showed him pictures of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Mika Singh and asked his opinion, to Sameer and asked for his opinion, he said, "Who are they? I don't know. I did not even know who Mika was. I later learned about him. I just wish the best of luck to everyone.”
While speaking about getting threats from Underworld, Sameer Wankhede, “I feel these are the only small criminals. I don't want to take their names and make them famous. I always get threats, and it is a very common thing for a person to like. I want to challenge them, and I am not scared of them. I had taken action against Dawood Ibrahim's brother and destroyed a few of his properties at his base in Dongri, Mumbai. He might have had a financial loss, but I don't care about it.”
Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested in October 2021 by former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede and his team in October 2021, making headlines and landing SRK and his family in a major controversy as well as a media trial.
