Shahid Kapoor was recently in news for buying a BMW bike. The actor proudly boasted owning the rare model of BMW R 1250 GS Adventure on his Instagram page recently. There might actually be more to the story. If some reports are to be considered, then the actor will soon be shooting for India's biggest biking film.
A report on Bollywood Hungama has claimed that not only has Shahid signed the film but he has also started prepping for it. "This will be one of the most expensive films to come out of India. The director of the film is yet to be finalized and the makers will make a formal announcement when the time is right," a source told the portal.
Not just this, a report on Mumbai Mirror also claimed that the actor would bulk up for the role and sport multiple looks for the stunt-oriented film. For the uninitiated, Shahid Kapoor is a bike fanatic and already owns Ducati Scrambler 1200, a Harley-Davidson Fatboy and a Yamaha MT 01, all of which are any bike lover's dream.
The actor is currently working on the film Kabir Singh which also stars Kiara Advani in the lead role. Directed by Sandeep Vanga, the movie is a remake of the Telugu superhit film Arjun Reddy. The Telugu version starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles. It marked Shalini's debut in the industry.
Interestingly, the genre of 'biking film' might be a newer invention in India. B-Town has witnessed bits of the genre with Dhoom franchise. The films under this popular installments have had one common thing in them - the anti-hero always travels on a bike.
Co-incidentally Remo D'Souza also touts to bring his biggest dance film Street Dancer 3D. The movie starring Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhudheva in lead roles, is the third installment of the popular dance franchise ABCD.
