Terror suspect Abdul Samad Bhatkal arrested at Mangalore airport

Suspected terrorist Abdul Samad Bhatkal, believed to be one of the conspirators of the Mumbai terror attack, was arrested by the anti-terrorism squad (ATS) of the Maharashtra police at Bajpe airport in Mangalore today.

Acting on a tip-off, the ATS arrested Bhatkal as soon as he landed here from Dubai in the early hours, police told the Press Trust of India.

Bhatkal was immediately whisked away to an undisclosed location, they said.
