Bihar Polls: Election Commission deploys 50 observers to check illegal flow of money

 Election Commission has decided to deploy 50 observers to check flow of illegal money and other inducements in the upcoming Assembly elections in Bihar.

The observers will monitor black money, production, distribution, sale and storage of liquor and other intoxicants during the polls period. The observers will also be in constant touch with the EC and will report important developments on this front on a regular basis.

Polls to the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in five phases between the 12th of next month and the 5th of November. Counting will be held on 8th November. The term of the current Assembly expires on 29th November.
