For sometime now, there has been talk of Sunny Deol's son Karan foraying into Bollywood. Speculation was rife that the star son will be make his acting debut in YRF film. Sources say that Aditya Chopra was indeed keen on signing a three-film deal with Deol junior, but it was papa Sunny who put a spoke in the wheel.

For those who came in late, Sunny and YRF have a long-standing feud between them that started over two decades ago. In 1993, Sunny, who was among the top stars, acted in YRF's film Darr co-starring Shah Rukh Khan, who was relatively new, and Juhi Chawla. The film went on to become a big hit and turned out to be a milestone for SRK, but Sunny was not happy with the way his role had shaped up. He, apparently, felt that SRK was given prominence in the film. So much so, that he decided never to work with the production house again.

However, a few years ago, things seemed to have changed when YRF bought the music rights of Yamla Pagla Deewana starring Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol. It was then that there was talk of patch up between YRF scion Aditya Chopra and the Deols. Obviously, it is far from true! For not only has Sunny not agreed to let his son sign a three-film deal with the production house, news is that the actor is planning to launch Karan himself this year.

Currently, the newbie is training to be an actor. He is also assisting Sunny in the upcoming film Ghayal Returns, which is a sequel to Rajkumar Santoshi's film, Ghayal. Sunny is not only acting in the film, he is also directing it.
