John’s illness stalls shoots

Down for a while by food poisoning, the actor is forced to cancel important appointments

Actor John Abraham who has been down with a severe bout of food poisoning last weekend is on the mend now. The macho Bollywood actor was under medical supervision and was advised complete bed rest for two days. He had to  cancel some plans and also a shoot for an international magazine.

Though John was unavailable for a comment on his illness, his media manager briefed us about his current health condition. “There is nothing to worry now. He is doing fine. He somehow developed a severe bout of food poisoning, which made him rest for two days. Though he was not hospitalised, he was under medical supervision. He is resting and recovering now,” the manager says.

She adds: “John’s condition was bad over the weekend and he had to cancel the shoot of a magazine that was scheduled for last Sunday. But he is re-shooting tomorrow now.” Health permitting!

A source had tipped us off about John’s health condition and the cancellations. “John was in Dubai where the magazine shoot was supposed to happen but then it was fixed on December 4 in Mumbai. He was fine but suddenly his health deteriorated and he was diagnosed with severe food poisoning. He had to cancel the shoot and all other plans,” informs the insider.
