Leaked: Janhvi Kapoor snapped in traditional avatar on 'Roohi Afza' sets

Janhvi Kapoor is one of the fewer debutants who has her kitty full with back-to-back films. After making her debut in Karan Johar produced Dhadak in 2018, she was announced as one of the important characters in his directorial Takht. While that movie is yet to go on floors, Janhvi began shooting for Gunjan Saxena biopic. Even though the shooting of the film was still on, Janhvi's name was announced for Roohi-Afza.

Janhvi Kapoor is paired with Rajkummar Rao for the film. The Dinesh Vijan produced film Roohi-Afza went on floors recently. The makers posted a photo of the clapperboard while announcing, "Karne aa rahein hai aapke attention ko qabza, aaj se shuru hoti hai #RoohiAfza! @Rajkummar_Rao @fukravarun #DineshVijan @serialclicker811 @mriglamba @gautam.m1 @maddockfilms @officialjiocinema".

Janhvi has quite an interesting role in the film. She plays the role of a ghost, who sings and puts grooms to sleep so she can possess the bride. She was now snapped on the sets of the film in a traditional wear. Janhvi wore a peach kurta paired with green patiala and dupatta. Her hair was tied in a plait and she donned what looked like a taaveez on her neck. The actress also carried a brown sling bag. Photographer Viral Bhayani shared the leaked images.

Talking about the film, which is slated to release on March 20, 2020, the producer Dinesh Vijan had earlier said, "For Roohi-Afza we needed actors who could jump into their roles with unabashed conviction. Rajkummar and Varun (Sharma) are phenomenal actors, comedy is a space they excel in and own. For the female lead, we needed someone who could portray two contrasting personalities with ease and Janhvi stood out, she really connected with the script. Her talent is still raw, but she is excited about being moulded. The script is young, refreshing and totally crazy, and she is exactly that!"
