Marvel mastermind Stan Lee no more; B-Town mourns his death

Like the rest of the world, Bollywood is also mourning the loss of Marvel mastermind Stan Lee, who passed away on Monday at the age of 95.

Celebrities, including Arjun Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Taapsee Pannu, among others, took to social media to pay their tribute.

"The man who made me believe heroes exist around us & within us. Thank you @TheRealStanLee for giving us the hope & belief we all love latching onto... #RIPStan u will always be the world?s first super hero!!!," wrote the Namaste England actor.

Sidharth Malhotra described Lee as the "superhero of dreams, imagination and creativity."

Ayushamann Khurrana wrote, "With great power, comes great responsibility. #RIPStanLee"


Manmarziyan actress Taapsee Pannu also mourned the death of the legend. 

She took to her social media and weote, "Today we lost the hero of my favourite films. #StanLee I almost believed he is a super hero who will never leave us. Along with him, my dream of meeting him, to discover a super power I always dreamt of having, will rest in peace forever n ever." 

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja too shared a message on her Instagram.

The creator of Black Panther, Spider Man, Iron Man, The Avengers and The Incredible Hulk amongst an array of well-loved superheroes, Stan Lee had started Marvel comics  with Jack Kirby in 1961 with Fantastic Four. 

He also made cameo appearances in all of the Marvel films.

He had suffered major medical ailments over the last year. 

Stan Lee is survived by his daughter. His wife, Joan, died in 2017.
