The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Amit Shah is confident that BJP will come out victorious in the Lok Sabha Polls 2019 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Amit Shah claimed that recent defeats in the bypolls will be minutely analysed. Amit Shah claimed that  BJP has been constantly performing well and the success will be replicated during the general elections. Shah was in conversation with Zee News' Editor-In-Chief  Sudhir Chaudhary at the Zee India Conclave in Delhi on Saturday.

Commenting on job creation by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, Amit Shah accused the Congress party of insulting hard working people of India. "What is wrong in being a pakoda seller? Chidambaram compared these hard-working men to beggars. This is humiliating for every person who earns his livelihood" Shah said.

Amit Shah challenged the Congress to fight the next election on 'pakora' issue. "Congress has made it a political issue, and if they want, we are ready to fight the next election on this," he said,

Some believe that BJP may make it a big issue in the run-up to the Lok Sabha Polls 2019, much like the "tea seller" statement by Congress leader Aiyar.

Commenting on "jubilation in Congress camp" after BJP's defeat in Gorakhpur and Phulpur, Amit Shah said:"Congress lost 11 states, but celebrates winning 11 seats".

Responding to a question of the possible BSP-SP alliance during the forthcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019, Amit Shah claimed that BJP will devise an appropriate strategy and defeat the opposition. "We are ready to face BSP-SP alliance and the work done by the party will help win the general elections", he said.

Amit Shah claimed that BSP and SP are fighting for survival and thereby forging new alliances to come to power but people will see through their designs and will reject them eventually.

Amit Shah blamed Congress for 'spreading misinformation' about the BJP. " Since they don't have any issues, they try to create a negative narrative about the government and its functioning. Congress needs to answer for the 55 years they were in power but failed to provide basic amenities to many people living in villages," Amit Shah said.

Amit Shah is confident that BJP has numerous opportunities to expand its influence in the near future. "We're left with Odisha, West Bengal and already won northeast. Now Chandrababu Naidu has also paved the way for us," said Amit Shah.
