Johnny Depp loves playing eccentric roles

Johnny Depp has admitted that he loves portraying eccentric characters.

The 47-year-old actor, best known for his unconventional roles like Captain Jack Sparrow, Willy Wonka and Sweeney Todd, has said he loves hiding behind wigs and make-up, reports the Daily Express.

"Captain Jack is always going to be a part of me," he said, adding that he has not hung up his bandana and eyeliner just yet.

“I like going back to him and seeing what we can cook up. It’s tougher to play someone like my character in The Tourist. I have the most fun when I can hide behind wigs or hats or make-up," he said.
