A few days after he retired, Kumar Sangakkara claimed that his Twitter account had been hacked after a vulgar tweet appeared on his verified account. The Sri Lankan batsman is currently playing for Surrey in the County Championship against Derbyshire found out about the hack during the Lunch break at the Oval.
The 37-year-old Tweeted: “Guys my twitter account has been hacked. I need to reset my account. It’s unbelievable. Apologies. In the middle of a county game.”

Sangakkara 's father recently became a Twitter sensation after writing an article in which he wasn't that impressed with his son's career. He wrote: “I have always been his harshest critic. And he knows about it all too well. For the world, Kumar was this venerated technician. But in my opinion, he never reached that level. He could have done so much better with the skills he had."
He added: “Everybody speaks about his average being in the same league of Graeme Pollock and Garry Sobers, but Kumar could have done better. He too often let bowlers dismiss him rather than them having to get him out.” This in turn led to his dad being trolled on Twitter with the hashtag #KumarsDad.
