Team India are currently taking on West Indies in a three-match ODI series in Chennai at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday (December 15).

Upon winning the toss, Windies skipper Keiron Pollard decided to send the home side in to bat first.

India got off to a very patchy start after losing their top order Rohit Sharma(36), KL Rahul(6) and Virat Kohli(4) early on in the innings.

It was thanks to some brilliant hitting from Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer that the "Men In Blue" managed to grab hold of the match.

However, the play was temporarily halted in the 26th over when a dog out of nowhere decided to run out to the middle of the pitch.

Windies players tried to catch hold of the canine 12th man but failed to do so.

After a few moments, the dog decided to take the nearest exit as Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer resumed their high-flying partnership.

The duo knitted together an effective 114-run partnership and also secured their maiden half-centuries in ODIs for India.

While Iyer made 70 off 88 deliveries before losing his wicket to Alzarri Joseph, with Pant also being sent back to the dressing room by Pollard after playing a 71-run knock off 69 balls.
