IPL 2020 - Steve Smith pulls off an MS Dhoni - WATCH

Rajasthan Royals (RR) cruised to an impressive victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their first match of the 2020 Indian Premier Leauge (IPL), thanks to some power hitting from skipper Steven Smith and Sanju Samson on the day. Ahead of their second match of the IPL 2020 against KL Rahul's Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), Smith was seen practicing MS Dhoni's trademark helicopter shot in the nets.

RR's official social handles recently shared a video of Smith hitting the helicopter shot, flawlessly and with absolute ease.

The Royals took to Twitter and wrote, "Gotta love a captain who plays the helicopter shot!".

In the last match, skipper Steve Smith (69) and Sanju Samson formed a formidable partnership of 121 runs.

Samson brought up his 19-ball 50 while Smith also reached his half-century.

However, the partnership was broken by Ngidi, who sent Samson back to the dressing room for 74. Devid Miller (0), Robbin Uthappa (5), Rahul Tewatia (10), Riyan Parag (6) all failed to get going as Archer (27*) and Tom Curran (9*) took RR to 216/7 in the end.

On the chase, CSK failed horribly as they finished the day on 200/6 despite Faf du Plessis (72) and Dhoni's late flurry of sixes.
