Noted composer and singer Vishal Dadlani took to his Twitter account to express his anguish on the news of the death of a senior citizen, who collapsed and died in suburban Mumbai this afternoon.. Reportedly, the elderly gentleman was standing in a queue to exchange his old currency notes when he suddenly fell and was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was declared dead before admission. Deccan Chronicle reports that he died of a heart attack, as per the information provided by police.

Vishal Dadlani posted on Twitter, "Tragic. :( Should've been planned better. Even now, perhaps the sick & elderly could be given preference at banks?"

This comes in as an aftermath of the huge rush that has been created following PM Narendra Modi's decision of demonetizing the Rs 1000 and Rs 500 currency notes, in a bid to combat the problem of black money. People are flooding towards the banks and ATMs to get their old currency notes exchanged for news ones and get some cash handy.
