Marathi 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' contestant, Vaishali Made, didn't give up despite being rejected thrice in the auditions

The winner of this year’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ (Zee Marathi), Vaishali Made is a study in survival. This lass from a remote village in Amravati was rejected in the first three audition tests she took for the Marathi and Hindi editions of the reality show. But she didn’t give up.

“At one point of time, after I had been rejected in the first edition of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ (Marathi), I told myself that there was no point in continuing with this. I wanted to give up and go back to my village. But my husband was a driving force. He told me to hold on and try again. And so I tried in the second edition (Marathi). Who would have thought I would win,” she said minutes after her victory.

“As a city, Mumbai has given me what I dreamt of. If it wasn’t for this city, I would be stuck in Amravati doing small shows and entertaining people. But now, I have a chance to compete in the next edition of the Hindi ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ and entertain a national audience,” she adds.

Vaishali, who is keen on making her mark as a ghazal singer in the future garnered as many as 3,76,237 votes while first runner-up Sayli Panse could manage only 2,60, 245 votes. Vaishali got her reward in the shining new car presented to her by one of the sponsors.  She now intends to concentrate on participating in the Hindi version of the competition.
