Vaani Kapoor joins Akshay Kumar in 'Bell Bottom'

Vaani Kapoor has joined Akshay Kumar's film 'Bell Bottom' as the lead character. The actress, who had made her debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in 'Shuddh Desi Romance', was last seen in Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff's movie 'WAR'.

Announcing the news of her being casted for 'Bell Bottom', Vaani shared images with Akshay Kumar and wrote, "Super Super Thrilled & Excited for this one !! Teaming up with the one & only @akshaykumar Sir. Can't wait !!! #Bellbottom Let's get this started"

The film, set in the '80s, is inspired by true events. 'Bell Bottom' would be the first time Vaani collaborates with Akshay Kumar. Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, the movie tells the story of one of India's forgotten heroes and is scheduled to go on floors this year.

Written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh, Pooja Entertainment presents the film in association with Emmay Entertainment. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani. 'Bell Bottom' is slated for April 12, 2021 release. The movie's is yet to go on floors owing to COVID-19 situation.
