The detectives were allegedly given the names of potential accomplices by anti-Muslim blogger Paul Ray, and are now searching the extremists who were allegedly outed by Ray and who are thought to belong to underground far-right groups in the UK, The Mirror reports.
Reports suggest that if they are found, Norwegian detectives will fly to Britain to interview them or they may be asked to travel to Oslo.
Thirty-two-year old Breivik was interrogated by police yet again about the Oslo bombing and Utoya Island shooting incident in July, a plot he had been planning for nine years.
Detectives focused the 12-hour interrogation on the killer’s 1,500-page manifesto, his alleged links to a far-right group called the Knights Templar and potential ties to Britain, a prosecutor has revealed.
Oslo police spokesperson Roar Hanssen said: “We have some names and some groups we are investigating. They came from Paul Ray, Breivik and from other things we have been investigating.”
But yesterday Breivik’s lawyer Geir Lippestad said that his client is still refusing to identify any accomplices.
“He is still saying nothing about other people he may have met. He does not want to involve other persons in the case. He says he was a founding member of the Knights Templar but will not say anything about the people he met in the group,” Lippestad said.
Breivik claims he carried out the attacks as part of the Knights Templar to launch a revolution against a Europe, which he believes has been ruined by Muslim immigration. He adds that there are several other cells ready to strike.
