Pakistan will fight terrorism till end, says High Commissioner Abdul Basit

His comments came after President Obama, who will arrive in New Delhi on January 25 to take part in this year's Republic Day celebrations, warned Pakistan that terrorists' safe havens within the country were not acceptable.

Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit on Saturday said that Pakistan would continue fighting terrorism till the time it is 'completely eliminated'.

"Pakistan will continue fighting terrorism till the time it is completely eliminated. We do have issues with India but we are continually trying our best to strengthen good relations and I am sure that our relations will improve," Basit told ANI. 

His comments came after President Obama, who will arrive in New Delhi on January 25 to take part in this year's Republic Day celebrations, warned Pakistan that terrorists' safe havens within the country were not acceptable.

He also said that those behind the 2008 Mumbai terror attack should be brought to justice.
