Blast in Pakistan's tribal region: 6 killed including 2 children

At least six persons, including there women teachers, were killed today when a school van they were traveling in hit a bomb planted on the roadside in Bajaur tribal region of Pakistan.

In a statement, the Army said that a remote control bomb targeted the van in Salarzai area near the main town of Khar in Bajaur tribal region, killing three women school teachers, two children and a passerby.

No one claim responsibility for the attack but Taliban militants are against women education and frequently target the education institutions.

Pakistan has launched a military operation in the North Waziristan tribal region, considered as nerve center of Taliban militancy.

Bajaur, located on Afghan border and facing Kunar province, is a sensitive region because it is believed that Pakistani Taliban chief Mullah Fazlullah is hiding in Kunar and organizing attacks from there inside Pakistan.
