Indian tennis ace Leander Paes became the most successful doubles player in the history of Davis Cup with his record 43rd win in Tianjin on Saturday.
Paes, a former Davis Cup team captain, surpassed Italian great Nicola Pietrangeli's record of 42 wins.
One of the first ones to congratulate Paes on his stupendous achievement was none other than cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. The Master Blaster, who himself enjoyed an incredibly long and successful career, said that the country is proud of his 'dear friend'.
"At this pace @leander will be unstoppable. Congratulations on becoming the most successful doubles player ever in #DavisCup history with 43 doubles win. India is proud of you my dear friend," wrote Sachin on Twitter.

Paes' record win combined with Rohan Bopanna also brought India back in tie against China. The duo defeated Chinese pair of Mo Xin Gong and Ze Zhang 5-7, 7-6(5), 7-6(3) in the Asia/Oceania Group I tie to keep India's challenge alive in the tournament. India were 2-0 down after Ramkumar Ramanathan and Sumit Nagal were defeated on Friday.
