Olympic and world championship silver medallist P V Sindhu defeated China's He Bingjiao 21-10, 17-21, 21-16 in semifinals on Saturday to enter to the final at the USD 600,000 Korea Open Super Series.
Sindhu, who had won the silver at the World Championship last month, will face Japan's Nozomi Okuhara in the final on Sunday.
Sindhu had come into the match with a 3-5 head to head count, having lost to the Chinese at the Asia Badminton Championship in April this year.
The Olympic medallist didn''t break too much sweat in the opening game, clinching it 21-10. However, Bingjioa made a resounding comeback in the second game to win it 21-17 to level the tie and send jitters in the Indian camp. Sindhu, however, held her nerves to win the third and deciding game 21-16 and set up what would be a repeat of the World Championships final.
Sindhu has won the 2016 China Super Series Premier and India Super Series this year, besides a title at the Syed Modi Grand Prix Gold in Lucknow.
