Brazil have qualified for the quarter-finals of 2018 World Cup 2018 and there have been heaps of praises for the way the South Americans have been playing.

However, their arguably best player, Neymar Jr has created quite a buzz for some not-so-good reasons. Although Neymar has scored two goals so far in the World Cup, he has been in the limielight more because of his play acting skills.

He took his theatrics to another level during Brazil’s Round of 16 match against Mexico on Monday. Just after the play resumed after the half-time break, Neymar netted a goal to take his country 1-0 up in last-16 World Cup match.

Neymar is the perfect example of how a star can turn into a villain in a span of sometime. Just when the fans were praising him for his goal, he turned the same fans against him with his overacting when Mexico’s Miguel Layun tackled him.

Layun would have hardly stepped on Neymar’s foot but the way the later went flat on the ground and rolled in agony seemed like he was shot in the leg.

With Brazil’s quarter-final match against Belgium just a day away, a video on social media has gone viral where a few kids have emulated Neymar on the field.

The video shows a few children running on a field, each dodging a football but they all drop to the ground and start pretending to be hurt the moment their coach screams out ‘Neymar.’

Ahead of the match between Brazil and Mexico, the  Mexican Captain Andrés Guardado, who was playing his fourth World Cup hjad had said,” We all know who Neymar is, but it isn't up to me or my team to judge him, but the referees and FIFA," he said. "Now there's VAR they need to watch his style and know how to manage it.

We know he likes to exaggerate fouls, throw himself on the ground a lot, but that's his style of play and the person who needs to stop that is the referee, not us."
