Coach Alex Ferguson has hailed Javier Hernandez, his 'Little Pea', as a natural for popping in goals after a dramatic victory in Valencia.

Javier Hernandez, on as a late sub, netted an 85th-minute winner for his first competitive goal for Manchester United.

The Sun quoted Fergie, as saying: "When he takes a chance it is like shelling peas to him. It is so natural to him. He is a natural finisher.”
 
He added: "But he is young and needs to build on his strength, which he has been doing in the gym. I brought him on tonight because I thought his pace would cause them problems."

Mexican Chicharito, 22, or 'Little Pea' as he is known because of his father's green eyes, made a seven million pounds switch from Guadalajara in the summer.

The striker netted in United's Community Shield victory over Chelsea.

That gave United only their second win in 19 trips to Spain and put them top of Champions League Group C.

Hernandez said: "It was a great night. I am so happy about the goal but also it was important to get the win. It is a dream come true for me. I always used to watch the Champions League when I was back home in Mexico."
