Young Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc believes getting master blaster Sachin Tendulkar out in the Perth Test match was a "great moment" for him.

Starc said that he didn't see Tendulkar walking off after getting out, as he was too busy celebrating with his teammates.

"I didn't watch Sachin walk off, I was too busy celebrating in the huddle with my mates. It was a great moment but you move on and get more wickets, The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Starc, as saying.

"It's never out until the umpire puts his finger up. I thought it was pretty close - as did everyone else who went up with me. I thought, 'He's out now, and this is a pretty good wicket'," he added.

Starc also revealed that captain Michael Clarke had plans to introduce fellow pacer Ryan Harris after Tendulkar faced his first over but he on the other hand was determined to carry on bowling to a champion batsman like Tendulkar.

"Michael [Clarke] had a plan to bring Ryano [Harris] back on after my first over [at Tendulkar]. He'd had a bit of success against Sachin in the past, in the first innings, as well and he was warming up."

"I didn't think too much about Sachin as I waited to bowl at him, but he's been world class for 20 years. To have scored that amount of runs, he's a champion."
