Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini insists he is not under pressure despite his club being dumped out of the Carling Cup and FA Cup, and is so confident of staying at Eastlands that he is moving his family over from Italy.

Mancini's future at Eastlands was called into question after a miserable run of just two wins in eight games, but last weekend's 4-2 win at Chelsea came at the perfect time for the Italian, who claims to be working 18-hour a day to try to turn City into a major force.

“I was called and asked to take Manchester City to success in the Premier League and I am working 18 hours a day to reach this objective. I have won everywhere that I have coached and City will win as well,” The Mirror quoted Mancini, as saying.

“I miss my family, who have stayed in Bologna. But they will be joining me after the summer and we will look for a house in the centre, and I will no longer be alone. The team needs to grow.”

“We are looking for a Champions League place as a starting point. But I have only just arrived, so the project has just begun. At the moment I am thinking only of City and I will stay here for several years. But one day I would like to return to Italy and coach the national team,” he added.

Mancini also revealed he is enjoying his time in the Premier League, and had been contacted by fellow Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti and Gianfranco Zola on his arrival in England.

“I have heard from Ancelotti and Zola. I have to say I like the post-match atmosphere in the Premier League. Managers go into a lounge, have a glass of wine and talk about the game, while players are with their families all eating together,” Mancini said.

There is no bitterness and the game ends when the referee blows his whistle, with every rivalry and argument finishing there and then,” he added.
