“No one can touch Muralitharan’s record in Tests,” star Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh said here on Thursday.

The Turbanator, here to endorse an Australia-based coffee chain, was reacting to Murali’s earlier comments that “only Harbhajan can match” his record in Test cricket.

“It is very kind of Murali to say such a thing. But I feel it is not possible for anyone to reach that level and take around 800 wickets in Test cricket.”

The off-spinner also had an opinion about the fourth edition of IPL which will mark the debut of two new teams. He said given a choice, he wants to stay with Mumbai Indians.

“If players get a chance to select their team, I would love to continue playing for Mumbai Indians,” he said, adding: “I feel the franchisees also should get a right to retain a few players, because otherwise the loyalty of the players as well as the fans will get affected.”

The spinner, who has played 83 Tests and 212 ODIs, feels when it comes to pressure, nothing can beat an India-Pakistan match.
“They are always full of tension as there are many emotions involved,” he said.

The last time both teams played each other, Bhajji won India the match by hitting a six in the last over. When asked about his heated exchange with Shoaib Akhtar, he said, “I can’t tell you what we exchanged but yes, such things happen in a match like this. But I am happy that we won and the win came with a six.”
