Midfielder Gareth Barry has said that the presence of England manager Fabio Capello no longer puts the fear in the minds of the players.

The Manchester City midfielder said that has helped the squad to loosen up since the World Cup disaster.

Barry said Capello no longer stalks the hotel corridors reminding players about their role, The Sun reports.

"The rules are still there, and are still respected, but the players aren't on their toes looking over their shoulders, wondering if the manager is watching. We can relax a bit more. The manager is not going to be on us 24X7, we can enjoy our time rather than worry about it," he said.

"The feeling around the place is a lot more relaxed and more enjoyable. It's been like that since the World Cup. We used to turn up for meetings 20 minutes beforehand and there was more pressure to be everywhere spot on the right time. But now everyone just seems to know him a lot better than when he first came in," Barry said.
