Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham has been branded a 'selfish pig' by one of the club's supporters for wanting to join English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

According to reports, Beckham has given the green light to a sensational three-month move to Tottenham Hotspur during this month's transfer window.

One irate supporter blasted on a fans' forum claiming that the midfielder was 'abandoning' their club again for another European loan deal.

"How about this selfish damn pig plays at least half the games in a Galaxy season at least once during his contract?" the Sun quoted the fan, as saying.

"How about he shows some commitment to this club to match his words? And how about someone at Galaxy has the balls (sic) to say 'No! You're under contract'," the fan added.

If the deal between Beckham and Tottenham Hotspur goes through, it would be the first time that the 35-year-old will be playing for an English club since he left Manchester United to join Real Madrid in 2003.

Beckham, who had spent the last two Major League Soccer (MLS) close seasons on loan at AC Milan, had earlier confirmed that his move to the Italian club would not happen again.
