Wayne Rooney scores brace during Scotland win to inch towards Bobby Charlton's record

Wayne Rooney scored a brace to guide England to a comfortable victory in a friendly match against Scotland at Celtic Park.

Manchester United striker has thus come closer to Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time England record of 49 goals. Rooney has now 46 international goals with netting a brace against Scotland, who were hoping to hold back Hodgson's team from victory after Andrew Robertson had pulled one back, the BBC reported.
