Suited and booted, Spanish second tier football side unveil bizarre tuxedo style kit

You’ve probably never heard of Spanish second division side Cultural Leonesa, but they should definitely be your new favourite football team. Why? Well, because the club have just launched definitely the best football kit ever, with their tuxedo style shirt set to be worn in official matches next season.

The tuxedo style kit was launched this week at their training centre and while we’re used to Spanish teams coming up with bizarre kit ideas, this is something pretty special. Need to go to a lavish dinner? That’s fine, wear your Leonesa football shirt and look super smart whilst keeping sweat free and being comfortable. Win:win, no?

But Cultural Leonesa are not the only club taking such a novel approach to kit design. Spanish second tier side, Club Deportivo Lugo have taken the unusual step of depicting beer and an octopus tentacle in the design of their kits for the 2014/15 season. Lugo, who last season finished 12th in the Spanish second tier, are sponsored by local brewers Estrella Galicia.

As a result, one of the new shirts has been designed to look like a glass of beer. The other has a picture of an octopus tentacle on the front, in homage to one of the most popular items of local cuisine in the Galician region, where the city is located.
