Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has revealed that the defending champions' Premier League title charge is being driven by a fear of failure.

The England International claimed that every City player is afraid that their place is under threat because of the strength in depth and the club's huge spending power.

Burnley held City to a draw at home to interrupt the club's incredible nine-game winning streak and the defending champions now aim to hit back at home to Sunderland on New Year's Day, the Mirror reported.

Hart said that there is a threat always at this place, adding that they wouldn't be the club they are if they didn't feel that people who weren't performing in their position weren't replaceable.

The goalkeeper claimed that he is replaceable, as everyone is, and one has to perform to high levels.

Hart's place looked under threat at the start of the season when boss Manuel Pellegrini brought in Willy Caballero, but the number one stopper of the club is enjoying one of the best seasons of his career and has signed a new contract with the club, the report added.
