Virat Kohli added to his legend on Friday by smashing his fourth career double-century in the on-going Test against Bangladesh in Hyderabad.

India's captain in all formats became the first batsman in Test history to score double-centuries in four consecutive series. The first of which came against West Indies (Antigua), then against New Zealand (Indore), then it was England's (Mumbai) turn, and finally Bangladesh.

Kohli day two from where he had left on Thursday, striking two thumping boundaries off Taskin Ahmed. The first was an uppish slash while the second rocketed down the ground. The stand-out shot of the session came in Taskin's next over. A good full length delivery was just firmly pushed. It looked like an on drive where all that the skipper had done was to roll the wrists.

A couple of more boundaries off Taskin and a lofted boundary off Shakib Al Hasan brought about Kohli's 150.

Kohli's marathon innings of 204 came off 246 balls and was studded with 24 boundaries and not a single six. This gives one an idea of the discipline with which the 28-year-old batted. He was finally dismissed LBW by Taijul Islam. However, replays suggested that the impact of the ball was outside Kohli's off-stump, and even though his partner Wriddhiman Saha adviced him to take a review, the skipper walked off to a standing ovation.
