Hosts Bangladesh managed to score a respectable 226 on the score sheet after batting first. The U-19 team's captain, Mehedi Hasan Mirza elected to bat first after winning the toss on a foggy and overcast day in Mirpur.

The captain remained the high scorer for the hosts with a well made 60 off 74 balls. Joyraz Sheik and Mohammad Saifuddin made vital contributions as the team made 226 in their 50 overs.

Keemo Paul was the pick of the bowlers as he grabbed 3 wickets. Chemar Holder and Shamar Springer bagged 2 wickets each.

The West Indians have made a good start to their innings with 117-2 in 19 overs.

Both teams have has a good run in the tournament. Bangladesh with an unbeaten run and Windies losing only their first encounter against England.

The winner of this final will meet India in the Final this Sunday.
